Company / Why we’re building Sentia
Making compliance work feel less like compliance work.
We’re building Sentia around a simple belief: security and compliance programs should work with people and the systems they already use—not create another layer of administrative friction.
Why Sentia exists
The work between the tools is still work.
A security requirement might begin in a control document, become an alert in a dashboard, turn into a conversation in a team channel, and end as a record in another system. Each transition can lose the context that makes the work understandable.
Compliance teams often carry the responsibility for reconnecting those pieces: finding an owner, explaining the request, following up, gathering evidence, and checking whether the response actually supports the outcome.
Sentia is being built around that coordination problem. The goal is to reduce repetitive administrative work while preserving the visibility, accountability, and review that a serious compliance program needs.
Our mission
Make continuous compliance a natural part of everyday operations.
Compliance should connect to the events, responsibilities, and systems that already shape the business.
Our ambition is to make the operational loop more coherent: relevant context, clear ownership, controlled coordination, and evidence that someone can assess.
Our perspective
The next step is a more connected operating model.
Spreadsheets helped document requirements. Connected platforms improved monitoring and visibility. We see an opportunity to bring more intelligence to the coordination that turns an observation into a reviewable outcome.
| WORKFLOW | OWNER | STATE |
|---|---|---|
| Access review | Morgan | Verified |
| Device return | IT operations | Evidence linked |
| Control mapping | GRC team | Ready for review |
Sentia is designed to carry context from an operational event through follow-up, technical verification, and evidence review.
This is Sentia’s strategic perspective on operating models. Existing products vary and may already provide coordination capabilities. The comparison is not a blanket claim about other platforms.
What we believe
The principles should show up in the product.
These beliefs guide the architecture and experience we’re working toward. Their value depends on how they are implemented, tested, and maintained.
- 01
Privacy by design
Start with explicit permissions, limited collection boundaries, and minimized context. Privacy is part of how the system should operate, not a layer of language added afterward.
- 02
Intelligence with accountability
A useful recommendation needs understandable context and an accountable decision path. AI assistance should make the basis and limits of a workflow easier to inspect.
- 03
Automation with human oversight
Give automation a clear operating scope. Keep approvals, exceptions, and sensitive judgments with the people your organization authorizes.
- 04
Evidence over assumptions
Separate what someone reported from what a technical source can substantiate. Preserve uncertainty and source limitations instead of manufacturing a completed state.
- 05
Seamless employee experiences
Meet people in approved tools they already use. Bring a specific request and relevant context, with controlled follow-ups that respect the way teams work.
- 06
Continuous improvement
Build toward an operating practice that can learn from review and changing requirements. A compliance program should be able to evolve alongside the business.
What we’re building toward
A compliance program that carries its context forward.
We envision AI-assisted compliance operations that can recognize relevant events from permitted sources, help teams coordinate the next action, and make the evidence trail easier to understand.
That vision includes conversational task coordination, supporting technical verification, proposed control mapping, and a workspace for review. It depends on careful permissions and human oversight, not an assumption that automation can replace professional judgment.
Sentia is in development. SOC 2 workflows are the initial focus, with ISO 27001 alignment in development and broader intelligence on the roadmap.
